US-based AI healthtech startup Confido Health has raised $12.5 Mn (about ₹119 Cr) in a Series A extension led by Z47, taking its total Series A funding to $22.5 Mn.
Existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures also participated in the round. Healthcare private equity investor Justin Saks has joined the startup as an investor and board adviser.
The startup will use the fresh capital to expand its CareOS platform across healthcare organisations with multiple sites and develop AI agents for additional workflows and medical specialities.
Founded in 2022 by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff, Confido Health develops AI agents to automate administrative tasks for healthcare providers, including patient calls, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, prescription refills, and payment collection.
Its CareOS platform integrates with more than 50 healthcare systems, including electronic health records, practice management software, and billing platforms. This allows providers to automate tasks across their existing systems without replacing their technology infrastructure.
Confido Health initially focused on voice AI for patient calls before expanding into broader healthcare administration. Its platform connects related tasks, allowing a patient interaction to trigger follow-up work such as scheduling an appointment, processing a prescription refill, or collecting a payment.
The startup primarily targets healthcare groups operating across multiple sites, particularly those backed by private equity firms. Its distribution strategy involves working with private equity investors to secure introductions to their portfolio companies.
Confido Health said it serves 3,200 providers across more than 1,500 sites in 27 US states, with its AI agents enabling one in 50 Americans to access healthcare.
