‘Common Side Effects’ is Trippier Than Ever in Season 2 Teaser

Adult Swim provided a release date for Common Side Effects season two over the weekend, and now we’ve got a new look at it.

It’s a short 45-second glimpse at what’s to come, but it sure does look good and freaky in all the ways that made the first season so great. While Marshall and Frances remain on the run, they won’t just continue developing the Blue Angel mushroom, they’ll also be searching for answers. Turns out, those little white beings that they and other characters have seen while taking the shrooms aren’t a new thing, and there’s even a whole culture around them that seems to date back centuries.

That’s intriguing on its own, but it looks like there’ll be more to it than that. Marshall’s all in on going deeper into the realm these figures come from, as is someone else with a similar fixation on them. Add in some negative side effects like angry outbursts and a dog’s skin peeling off, and it looks like things are going to further escalate andn put everyone involved in further danger.

Common Side Effects will return January 24, 2027, and we can’t wait to see what other pharmaceutical weirdness awaits.

Thermoelectric generators probably won’t eliminate the charger for your Apple Watch, but for smaller, screenless wearables, the heat constantly escaping from your skin could fundamentally change how we power our devices.
