Hansi Flick's Blaugrana look to maintain their lead at the top as it hosts the hard-to-beat Azulones.
La Liga leader Barcelona will look to make it an impressive nine straight wins as it gets back to domestic action against a Getafe team looking to inflict its first defeat on the Blaugrana in six years.
Having made a near-perfect start to the new campaign, Barça boss Hansi Flick wouldn’t have welcomed the recent three-week international break at all. The defending champions come into this weekend’s action five points ahead of second-placed Atlético Madrid. The hosts will have to make do without in-form forward Raphinha, however, with the Brazilian star having picked up a thigh injury while on international duty.
José Bordalás’ well-drilled Getafe side, meanwhile, has proven tough to beat. That’s despite registering just four goals all season, which has kept it from climbing higher than 11th.
Barcelona takes on Getafe on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Estadio Martínez Valero in Alicante, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. CEST local time. That makes it a 12:30 p.m. ET or 9:30 a.m. PT start in the US and Canada, a 5:30 p.m. BST kickoff in the UK and a 3:30 a.m. AEST kickoff in Australia on Sunday morning.
ESPN once again has the rights to La Liga and is showing all 380 matches on its streaming service, including today’s game.
