Apple posts all-time revenue record in India as global sales rise 12% to $114.5 billion

Apple set an all-time revenue record in India, chief executive John Ternus said on the company’s earnings call, the first since he took over on 1 September. He said India also had a record September quarter for iPhone upgraders.

He added that Apple recently launched Apple Pay in India with Axis Bank, and that the service is now available in more than 90 markets.

Chief financial officer Kevan Parekh said India had a record year for iPhone upgraders and that the iPhone was among its top-selling models, citing a Worldpanel survey.

He said Apple set all-time Mac revenue records in markets such as India, and all-time Services revenue records in emerging markets including India.

Apple’s revenue for the quarter ended 26 September rose 12% year on year to $114.5 billion, above the $113.5 billion Wall Street estimate compiled by Bloomberg.

Net income was $30.7 billion, or $2.10 a share, against $27.47 billion, or $1.85 a share, a year earlier. The earnings included a 5-cent-a-share benefit from tariff refunds, which also added about one percentage point to the 47.9% gross margin.

iPhone revenue rose 17% to $57.6 billion despite supply constraints and currency headwinds. Mac revenue climbed 24% to $10.8 billion, and Services revenue rose 9.8% to $31.6 billion, in line with estimates.

For fiscal 2026, Apple reported all-time record revenue of $479 billion and double-digit EPS growth. “Apple delivered September quarter records for net income and EPS,” Parekh said.

He said Apple generated $28 billion in operating cash flow during the quarter and returned $28 billion to shareholders.
