Five new Blink cameras are coming to the market, and the extended-range model has all my attention.
2026 has been a year of big upgrades for Amazon’s Blink line of easy-to-install home surveillance cameras, first with 2K resolution and now with 4K and powerful extended-range models that challenge what we can expect from the devices.

The five new Blink cameras coming to market are the Blink Frontier XR+, Blink Outdoor 2K XR+, Blink Mini 4K+, Blink Pan-Tilt Zoom 2K+, and Blink Spotlight 2K+, filling out its catalog with cameras designed for very large outdoor properties. All the new cameras are available for preorder starting October 21st.
The Blink Mini 4K+ is an $80 wired security camera built for indoor and outdoor use, and the first 4K wired camera from Blink. It can capture a 115-degree field of view, support dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and feature two-way audio.
These features are a big upgrade over the original Blink Mini, the Mini 2, and the newer Mini 2K+. The Blink Mini 4K+ is the category’s flagship this year, finally bringing extraordinary resolution to what was an HD camera just a year ago.
Blink is known for offering inexpensive, easy-to-install security cameras as an alternative to the pricier Ring brand. As a result, these cameras were simplistic and low-resolution. With this latest addition to the lineup, which includes high-resolution and extended-range options, Blink is positioning itself as a major player in the home security market.
