Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days (aka October Prime Day) is coming in hot, and with it, a boatload of discounts on Amazon's own devices. It officially runs from Oct. 6 through Oct. 7 this year and presents the perfect opportunity to kickstart your holiday shopping.

It only makes sense that Amazon would offer the biggest markdowns on its own devices. And since Amazon decided to swiftly jack up prices across its hardware range last month by as much as 60 percent(!), the October Prime Day sale couldn't come at a better time.

Things are starting a bit slow, but there are already several Fire tablets, Blink cameras, Fire TV streaming sticks and soundbars, and eero devices on sale. We're hoping to see some big price drops on Kindles and Echo devices, as these were the gadgets hit the hardest in the price hike, but so far they're MIA. Don't worry — we'll keep a watchful eye out and update this story if and when those deals appear.

Aside from devices themselves, Amazon's typical subscription deals for newcomers (and returning users) are already live. You can score three free months of Kindle Unlimited, four months of Audible Standard for 99 cents per month, or four free months of Amazon Music Unlimited.
