WhatsApp is rolling out chats powered by Meta AI on Android

WhatsApp is making it easier for users to organize their threads with Meta AI by introducing separate conversations in the chat list. Users can choose a name and a custom profile photo for their AI-powered chats. It is possible to access conversations with Meta AI by selecting a new filter in the Chats tab.

In the post about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.26.9.4 update, we announced a feature to manage conversations with Meta AI. With this update, WhatsApp introduced threads to organize conversations with Meta AI by topic. Threads keep their context, so information from a specific conversation does not affect others automatically. Users can access their threads from a separate panel within the conversation with Meta AI. Meta AI automatically generates a title for a thread, but users can rename it to make it easier to find it.

WhatsApp is now taking a step further by turning threads into full conversations. Users can create a new chat with Meta AI, give it a name, and set a custom profile picture to quickly identify it. 6 update, which is available on the Google Play Store . With this update, WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to create chats powered by Meta AI to some beta testers. Instead of opening the conversation with Meta AI to find a thread, users can now see their chats with the chatbot in the chat list.
