The Barbie experience inside Restyle is Pinterest's first brand collaboration for a tool that exists to close the gap between saving a pin and buying what's in it. For home decor and furniture brands, it's the earliest signal of what the platform's AI shopping future actually looks like.

Pinterest is running a Barbie DreamHouse experience inside Restyle, its AI-powered home decor visualisation tool, in what marks the platform's first brand activation for a feature that only entered beta last month.

Searches for "Barbie DreamHouse aesthetic" are up 72% on the platform, and users can upload a photo of their room and transform it using one of five signature DreamHouse style edits: mid-century Americana, chalet chic, superstar glam, Victorian romance or modern coastal. They can then add or swap decor with other Barbie-themed items.

The activation is accessible through official Barbie content, select search terms and curated boards on the Barbie Pinterest profile. Through November, Pinterest is promoting the experience with a custom-pink, 26-foot truck making stops in New York City, Dallas and Los Angeles, where visitors can try out Pinterest Restyle live, explore interactive elements, snap photos and unlock exclusive giveaways.

Together, we're giving people a playful new way to see those possibilities in a space that is uniquely theirs and to shop for products they love.

Pinterest officially introduced Restyle on 17 September 2026, a generative AI feature designed to transform how users plan home renovations and interior design projects, currently in beta for users in the United States and Canada.
