You Can Preload Grand Theft Auto VI On PS5 and Xbox Next Week, And You'll Want To Because It's Massive

We're just over two weeks away from the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, which recently graced the cover of Game Informer. Ahead of its November 19 launch, Rockstar Games has announced that digital preloading for GTA VI will begin next week on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

More specifically, preloading on Xbox Series X/S will begin Tuesday, November 10, at 12 a.m. GMT (4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET on November 9), and on PS5 at midnight local time in your time zone. Although Rockstar isn't producing physical discs of GTA VI, you can still buy a physical box at retail, which includes a download code for the game. The studio says, "Code-in-box versions for both consoles should be available from retailers beginning November 12."

The preload file will require 212 GB on your device, so make sure you have the space before you start the download. You can find more details about this process here.

Elsewhere in today's GTA VI news, Rockstar has revealed that on November 19, it will add an official printable GTA VI cover art poster and a map of Leonida as a free digital download to the game's official site. However, a double-sided physical version of this poster will be made available shortly after the launch of GTA VI from the Rockstar Store. It will only cost $0.99 on its own, or come free with any other purchase from the store.
