Pit of Goblin is now available on Xbox Game Pass, having joined three of its membership tiers. The friendslop title marks the second addition to Microsoft's subscription service in November 2026 and the 165th Xbox Game Pass release this year.
Pit of Goblin is a co-op horror adventure that, while new to Xbox Game Pass, has been available for nearly two years. Swedish developer Friendly Foe originally released it in December 2024 as an early access title on Steam, where it has since earned a "Very Positive" user rating, based on nearly 1,000 player reviews. The four-person studio said in September 2026 that Pit of Goblin had sold more than 200,000 copies during its early access period.
A charming life sim that's likely to appeal to Stardew Valley fans locks down a January 2027 release date for PC, consoles, and Xbox Game Pass.
November 3 also marks the end of that early access period, with Pit of Goblin reaching version 1.0 alongside its Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 debuts. As previously promised, the spooky co-op adventure has also joined the Xbox Game Pass library on day one. Pit of Goblin is available to Premium- and Ultimate-tier subscribers, as well as PC Game Pass users. It supports full-fledged cross-platform multiplayer, allowing console and PC players to team up. As with most Series X/S titles, Friendly Foe's debut release is also streamable via the Xbox Cloud Gaming service, whose entire infrastructure is built on custom Series X units.
