Xbox CEO Gives New Official Statement on The Elder Scrolls 6

However briefly, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma recently discussed The Elder Scrolls 6 during a Gamescom interview. Bethesda has yet to showcase anything concrete about The Elder Scrolls 6, but since Sharma's "reset," it seems the companies are more openly making vague remarks about the game. Of course, it is still years away, so fans should keep their expectations in check.

Not too long ago (and potentially due to a protest by Bethesda devs), Sharma teased The Elder Scrolls 6's official subtitle. Its subtitle is probably one of the biggest potential reveals, so teasing it is a massive shift in Xbox/Bethesda strategy compared to the past few years. No one calls Skyrim "The Elder Scrolls 5," for example, and that's possibly what will happen here (even though fans have been calling it TES6 for years). Either way, Sharma has seen The Elder Scrolls 6 in action at least once, and this came up during the aforementioned interview.

New information about Project Helix, the next generation Xbox console, has been shared by Xbox CEO Asha Sharma at Gamescom 2026.

In a BBC interview, Sharma was asked about Xbox exclusivity plans for The Elder Scrolls 6 , which has been a divisive topic ever since Xbox acquired Bethesda. It makes perfect sense to make one of the biggest RPGs in the world exclusive to try to move Xbox Series X/S consoles (or, in all likelihood, the next-gen Xbox Helix consoles), but at the same time, its sales could be hindered.
