The Captain drops the Deep Vault Access Key, but he's a Commander wearing a suit of Juggernaut armor with a minigun as a weapon, so he's not going to be easy to kill. Try to squad up, or rely on distance and Shock Sticks to stun him and shoot him from a safe distance until he dies.

When you kill the Captain and get the Deep Vault Access Key, it's vital that you place it in a Secure Slot. This item is not consumed when opening the Deep Vault, so you can keep it in your Secure Slot and return here for your next run!

With the Deep Vault Access Key, head toward the Deep Vault, which is located in the northwest corner of the lower floor of X01. You can use this Access Key to open the large door. Don't worry about enemy Operators, as the doors will lock behind you and will only open if they also have a Deep Vault Access Key.
