X-Men: 10 Strongest Versions of Wolverine in the Multiverse, Ranked

Wolverine first slashed his way onto the scene with Incredible Hulk #181 on July 30, 1974. It was clear from the jump that this was a character with staying power, and he hadn't even been introduced to the X-Men yet. He would, of course, eventually join, and that is where Wolverine has found his primary home, though he has joined up with the Avengers for a time and the Fantastic Four very briefly. With his healing factor, animal senses, and unbreakable claws, he is one of the most dangerous heroes that Marvel Comics has to offer.

However, Marvel is a Multiverse, and there are plenty of other versions of the Wolverine that are even more dangerous than the mainstream version. He's debatably not even the strongest Wolverine on Earth-616 (which is the designation of the mainstream Marvel Universe). There is not much that can kill Wolverine, but other Wolverines could probably do it.

To kick off the parade of Wolverines, there is one of the most recent entries. The Logan from Insomniac's Wolverine is an interesting specimen. Much of his backstory was rewritten, tying him to the likes of Mister Sinister and giving him a more complicated history with Jean Grey. However, a lot did remain the same, including the unbreakable claws, the violent animalistic rage, and the nearly-unstoppable healing factor.

One thing that gives this Wolverine an edge over many of his counterparts is the Helix Engine. It is used at one point to save Wolverine from a wound by Lady Deathstrike and is the key to the success of Wolverine in surviving an attack by the Hand.
