Wizards Announces North American Delays For MTG Star Trek Set

Despite being the next massive Universes Beyond release for Magic: The Gathering, the TCG's official Star Trek collaboration has already had a rocky history even before release, with production delays announced all the way back in October. While the previous delay primarily affected Commander decks in North America, it seems the situation is far worse than expected.

Shared by joelaremagic on X, Wizards has shared on the Wizards Play Network that even more delays are set to affect North America, which affects Scene Boxes, Bundles, Draft Sets, Beam Me Up Bunidles, and Commander decks all release later than we had previously anticipated.

As if the delays weren't bad enough on their own, Wizards is yet to share the announcement on any of their other public channels at the time of writing, with game stores likely having to break the news to players and deal with the backlash themselves. In terms of when we can expect each product to hit shelves across the region, the following windows are currently expected for each:

While there is still a chance that your store could end up with some of these products sooner than later, the delays are going to have some massive effects on the pre-release schedule for the set, with fans having to wait to see when they'll actually be able to get their hands on the new Star Trek-themed products.

While these are far from the only product delays and distribution issues Magic: The Gathering fans have had to deal with this year, like Secret Lair decks arriving nearly a year after their order date , the issue becomes even more prevelant given the lessened popularity of Star Trek compared to MTG's other Universes Beyond crossovers.
