In Planet Zoo 2, Wildlife Reserves will help you to rehabilitate animals and release them into the wild, rebuilding and strengthening troubled ecosystems. This system will also help you build your accreditation. We'll go over all the reserve locations and animals, how to run a reserve, how to get new reserves, and how to put animals into the reserves.
Discover all 130+ animals you can collect in Planet Zoo 2 with this alphabetical animal list.
There are six reserve locations in total. Only some of the animals can be released into reserves, and the location of the reserve determines which animals you can put there:
Running a reserve requires knowing how to get around, take care of the animals, gain research points, and keep your ecosystems flourishing. You'll also want to keep an eye on your biodiversity rating to help with your accreditation in franchise mode.
When going around the reserve, it's easiest to use the Research Vehicle at your outposts if you want to go on foot. When you're out and about on it, you can get back to your Research Outpost by holding the R key. Otherwise, you can use the same distance map view you use in the zoos.
At the top-center of the screen is a compass. It has logos that indicate where your vehicle, research center, and specific animals on the reserve are located and how far they are from your current location.
Taking pictures of the animals at the wildlife reserves gives you a score for research photos.
