Operators are the lifeblood of Star Wars Zero Company. They are the core of the gameplay, and ensuring you have a strong team will make a huge difference in how difficult your playthrough is. However, with a mix of unique and randomized operators, it can be difficult to know which ones to use — especially early on when you're strapped for credits.
If you're struggling to know which operators to invest time in, here are my recommendations for what you should consider using during your playthrough. Just remember, this is simply a recommendation, as you can beat the game with literally any combination of operators if you're skilled and creative enough. The beauty of Zero Company is the sheer variety available, so don't take my picks as the be-all, end-all choice!
To simplify, we're going to break this down into named and randomized operators. Named operators are key characters that have a unique abilities, story, and are unlocked as you progress through the story. There are several you will come across, each of which brings something to the table worth considering.
That being said, some of the named operators are standouts due to their stats and abilities. Additionally, you will be able to add a second Specialization to each of these characters, deepening their combat potential and opening up some pretty wild build possibilities. This will unlock about halfway through the story and really opens up the viability of some operators.
In no particular order, here are my choices for the best named operators:
