When the weather turns foul in Arc Raiders' Pendola Pass, take a trip to a Storm Hut—they're some of the best loot spots I've found

Arc Raiders' Pendola Pass is packed to the gills with loot. No matter where you search, you're likely to come away with some rare items, whether you're smashing open iced up doors to get into sealed rooms, or climbing into hard-to-access spots with the Grappling Hook and yoinking everything not nailed down.

But some of the best loot spots I've found are the Storm Huts. Pendola Pass has a special weather condition called Flash Freeze where a snow storm randomly moves in and you start taking damage after a while, similar to the previous Cold Snap map condition. You'll also hear an emergency broadcast over loudspeakers explaining that the temperature outside is deadly, and special shelters are being opened up.

These are the Storm Huts and they won't appear on your map until the Flash Freeze occurs. Even if you find one, the door will be sealed, so they're only accessible when the cold hits. You might be thinking, well, I can shelter in any building, right? True, but these Storm Huts are also little loot rooms and they're one of the only places so far that I've found some of the more vague outpost crafting materials, like the Epoxy Bucket, Insulation Roll, and the Radial Press. I even got a Mountaineer Detector, a Riven Tides-style metal detector for snow I've never seen anywhere else so far.

They also usually contain some other crafting bits, useful raider items like extra healing and ammo, and there are also a couple of gun cases which usually contain a rare or uncommon weapon.
