Warner Bros. has pushed back DC's Dynamic Duo and delayed Gremlins 3 by a whole year.

Warner Bros. is preparing its 2028 slate, which has resulted in a couple of movies shifting their release dates around. An untitled Gremlins film, tentatively referred to as Gremlins 3, was set to release November 2027, but has been delayed a whole year to October 6, 2027. The news was accompanied by a new teaser, showing one of the titular creatures emerging from a backpack while mischeviously exclaiming, "Uh oh!"

The new Gremlins will be directed by Chris Columbus, who wrote the original Gremlins and helmed classic films like Home Alone. Not much is known about the next film in the franchise, but it's a project Columbus has pursued for over a decade. It will likely be a while longer before we get any more meaningful footage, given it's now two years away from hitting theaters.

DC's experimental Robins movie Dynamic Duo, which will follow Dick Grayson and Jason Todd's early adventures, is also moving its date. The film was originally slated for June 2028, but will now open on September 22, 2028. The film is expected to be a hybrid between traditional CG animation, stop motion, and puppetry, giving it a unique visual style. The Batman director Matt Reeves and current DC Studios boss James Gunn will both produce the film.

It seems like this may be DC's attempt at trying to make something similar to the Spider-Verse films, leveraging younger characters with a unique visual style.
