Pre-ordering a physical copy of Grand Theft Auto 6 probably feels kind of pointless to most people considering it’s not launching with an actual disc, and even if you buy the box with a code inside, you’ll still have to download all 210 GB to your hard drive to play it. It makes sense, then, that some physical retailers might add some kind of incentive in an effort to get people to actually buy the game from them, and in Walmart’s case, that included incentive is…a surprise!
Walmart has pre-orders up for GTA 6 on its website, and while the page has seemingly been edited since, deals-tracking account Nintendeals managed to get a photo of text on the store page that previously mentioned a “pre-order bonus” for buying the game from the retail giant.
Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders from Walmart will have a "surprise" included with the delivery
There are no descriptors for the contents of the “surprise and delight bag,” as it’s called, which has fans speculating that it may be similar to the Pringles and Coke goodie packages Walmart sent out to people who pre-ordered the Switch 2 last year. I don’t know about y’all, but I order a whole pizza when I start playing a new game. I don’t think a can of Pringles is gonna cut it, personally. It’s certainly not enough to get me to buy a digital code in a box. I’d also warn would-be buyers tempted by this offer that Walmart has been having some trouble fulfilling its pre-orders this past week.
