Tywin Lannister Officially Returns in New Game of Thrones Release

Tywin Lannister is one of Game of Thrones' most ruthless characters and has become a massive fan favorite as a result. And while his fate was seemingly confirmed in the TV show, Game of Thrones is set to bring back the head of House Lannister in a brand-new upcoming release.

It's always intriguing when a franchise opts to bring back a legacy character years down the line. Especially one like Tywin Lannister, whose vast presence is felt even in his absence throughout the entire Game of Thrones series. With the right opportunity, though, bringing back characters like this can be a big positive.

A popular Game of Thrones release confirms the addition of a new dragon to its roster.

Tywin Lannister is planned to return in the upcoming Game of Thrones: Legends Assault on Rook's Rest event, which is set to run from October 29 to November 2. The event, which has run before in the popular mobile game, will include multiple Legendary Champions to summon, including Oberyn Martell, Sunfyre, Gregor Clegane, and Tywin Lannister. It was officially announced towards the end of September, and the event is finally approaching.

Game of Thrones: Legends is a puzzle game developed by Zynga. When it launched as a new Game of Thrones release in 2024, it became a great way for fans to return to Westeros on their phones. Summons are a key part of the gameplay, where players can recruit their favorite Game of Thrones characters to their lineup.
