This app brings free internet radio to Android Auto, and it’s only getting better by the day

TL;DR RadioShake is an internet radio app for Android Auto that supports over 45,000 radio stations.

Its latest update introduces autoplay for your last played station and also improves song recognition.

The app is completely free, has no ads, and doesn’t require an account.

Listening to music is one of the many pleasures of going on a road trip. It can even make commuting to work easier. While there are a lot of music streaming apps where you can curate your own playlists, sometimes it’s just more fun to listen to the radio — especially if you have an internet radio app that lets you tune in to stations from around the world. That’s exactly what RadioShake was built for, and it’s only getting better with each update.

The developer behind RadioShake built it “on the side” and has since pushed out regular updates with bug fixes and features requested by users. The developer has now announced v3.9 of the app, and it brings several new features. The app can now autoplay the last radio station you were listening to once your phone connects to Android Auto in your car. The feature is off by default and can be enabled in settings.
