Thief Remastered Is Quietly Changing How Game Revivals Should Work

It is safe to say that remasters have become one of the gaming industry's favorite ways to bring older titles back, and it's pretty easy to understand why, considering how many players love to revisit their favorite childhood games. Moreover, even though nostalgia plays a big role here, nobody wants to put up with outdated controls, technical limitations, and graphics that have pretty much aged like milk. So, in general, improving an experience people already love is always a good idea, but it seems like most remasters are primarily concerned with making older games more accessible rather than adding new features as well. However, Thief: The Dark Project Remastered appears determined to take a different approach.
