The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has had a busy few weeks, with CD Projekt Red bringing its remastered version to players on September 29, and there's even more Witcher content coming in 2007 aside from the Songs of the Past expansion. The remastered and updated RPG gives Geralt of Rivia’s adventure another round of improvements, including enhanced visuals, revamped combat, new animation work, and changes to its skill system.
CD Projekt Red has continued updating The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered since launch, addressing bugs and making further adjustments across PC and consoles. Patch 5.01 arrived earlier this month with gameplay fixes, improved graphics options on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and several other changes, followed by a PS5 stability hotfix on October 13. The updates are part of a larger stretch for the franchise, with the aforementioned Witcher 3 expansion also planned for 2027 and The Witcher 4 targeting a 2028 release.
Lazare's Sacrifice comes from Gwent's creator and turns deckbuilding into a brutal fight for survival during the French Revolution.
Now, another project in the franchise has a more specific release window. The Witcher: Legacy , the upcoming story-driven board game developed by Go On Board in collaboration with CD Projekt Red, is officially targeting Summer 2027 . The tabletop game was originally announced in 2025 and will let players take on the role of surviving Witchers from the School of the Wolf. While it shares the franchise’s world and lore with Geralt’s video game adventures, The Witcher: Legacy is a separate board game rather than a new video game.
