The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Foil Cover Preorders Sell Out at Amazon – Here's Where You Can Still Get a Copy Before Release

The Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is set to release this Thursday, November 5. The first batch of physical copies of the game includes a textured foil cover – but these will only be available while supplies last.

That day has come at Amazon; the retailer sold through its supply of textured-foil-cover copies over the weekend. Thankfully, if you haven’t preordered it yet and you want a copy with a reflective cover, you can still preorder it at a few retailers (see it at Walmart).

While the foil cover is available at several retailers, Walmart is the only one offering a $10 preorder discount. So if you want a foil cover edition of the game, and you want to save $10, you should absolutely preorder it from Walmart before it’s gone. I’d do it ASAP if I were you.

The textured foil on the cover creates a sparkling reflection effect when you rotate the game case in the light. You can see what it looks like up close in Nintendo's Instagram post below.

Amazon’s listing for the Ocarina of Time remake has a note saying it will be “available again starting Nov. 5,” but I’m fairly certain the new stock will have a standard, non-textured, non-foil cover.

Nintendo is going all out on the Ocarina of Time remake by releasing a host of Zelda-themed consoles and accessories alongside it (see our preorder guide for full details). But as these things tend to do, nearly all of the additional items sold out long ago.
