The Apple AirPods 5 Noise Canceling Earbuds Is Discounted for the First Time Since Its Release

Woot is offering the first discount I've seen on a recently released AirPods ahead of the Black Friday rush. For today only, you can pick up a new and unused Apple AirPods 5 earbuds with active noise cancelation for just $119 after a $10 instant discount. Amazon Prime members get free shipping, otherwise add on a $5 delivery fee. This is the least expensive AirPods you can get that's equipped with noise canceling technology.

The Apple AirPods 5 was released on September 19, 2026, less than two months ago. The biggest change compared to the AirPods 4 is that noise cancelation is standard on all models... no need to spend an extra $50 premium for the technology. Live Translation is now a standard feature as well. Other upgrades include a more durable IP57 rated shell and an Apple H2 chip with improved Transparency Mode. The rest of the features are pretty much identical.

The AirPods 5 is quite different from the more expensive AirPods Pro 3 because of the way it is worn: the AirPods 5 is an open-ear earbud with non-adjustable tips that sits just outside your ear canal, whereas the AirPods Pro is an in-ear earbud that sits inside and seals your ear canal with adjustable tips. Which AirPods is a better fit for you depends on your priorities. In-ear earbuds provide passive noise isolation, which direct correlates with better audio quality and noise canceling. Open-ear earbuds are less intrusive, are generally more comfortable, and allow you to be more aware of your surroundings.
