Magic: The Gathering isn't short on fast-paced deck archetypes, but Jeskai is the go-to for Commander players who want speed, power, and adaptability in one package.

Whether you want huge group decks, extreme counter proliferation, nuanced spell-focused play, or creature armies, Jeskai has something for everyone, and you can even find ways to get multiple strategies into one deck.

In this list, we'll cover the best and most popular Jeskai Commanders in Magic right now, and offer a little insight into how they work.

Updated October 29, 2026, by Niall Walsh: It's been a long time since we revisited this list, with over ten sets released in that time. As such, we've revisited this list to give it a proper update, adding in any popular, powerful Jeskai Commanders that have released in the meantime.

Sevinne, the Chronoclasm is a 2/2 Human Wizard for five mana that can't be dealt damage and synergizes with Flashback. Sevinne's selling point is that whenever its controller casts their first instant or sorcery from their graveyard each turn, that spell is copied.

This can provide impressive value, especially when you cast spells from your graveyard that draw cards or deal direct damage to an opponent.

Cards like Snapcaster Mage, Mission Briefing, and Torrential Gearhulk all let you cast spells from your graveyard and can turn all your spells into two-for-one by doubling them up. If you build your deck like your graveyard as a second hand, you'll have access to all sorts of spells throughout the game.
