A year after launch, Dispatch is getting a Deluxe Edition update, a mobile release date, and more
It’s been a busy first year at the Superhero Dispatch Network, and Dispatch is celebrating with a whole lot of new content. AdHoc Studio’s hit narrative adventure is getting two new behind-the-scenes modes, a mobile release date, and more.
The anniversary celebration arrives as Dispatch surpasses 5 million players. It gives fans plenty of reasons to clock back in for the superhero game, which is officially eligible for The Game Awards two years in a row.
Available now as a free update for Deluxe Edition owners, the game's new Commentary Mode features more than 16 hours of insights from the game’s cast and crew. Players can hear from actors like Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey and Erin Yvette, and separate cast and crew commentary tracks span every episode. Different story choices also unlock distinct commentary.
The new Storyboard Mode lets players experience the entire game through its original storyboard animatics, offering a look at how the game’s cinematic scenes, performances, and visual storytelling came together. Players can even combine the two modes to listen to commentary while viewing the original storyboards.
"In our industry, it's often really hard to showcase those people and how the development process actually works, but fortunately our game is very weird and specific and affords us some unique opportunities," co-creative director Nick Herman said in a press release.
Both modes are included in the Deluxe Edition. 99.
