Solo Leveling Officially Finds New Home After Major Platform Shutdown

Solo Leveling by Chugong has become the most popular South Korean web novel. First written in 2016, the story achieved global success after Redice Studio released its manhwa in 2018, followed by an anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures and Aniplex in 2024. Given its popularity, it's no surprise to know that Solo Leveling's rise to fame has led to a far greater demand for its Manhwa and Novel.

While fans were able to read the full Solo Leveling story on the platform Tapas, this is now changing. It's been officially confirmed that Tapas is shutting down in 2027. As such, fans of the story won't be able to read it there. While this may be concerning for many, Solo Leveling is available on other platforms like Tappytoon and Manta. Fans will still be able to enjoy Solo Leveling in a multitude of ways and see how it continues to shift the industry, be it as a novel, manhwa, or anime.

Solo Leveling has been a hit in the manhwa community for years now. The series was already big as a novel throughout its serialization online between 2016 and 2018. The true breakthrough of the series, however, was when Redice Studio picked up the story and brought it to life in new, revolutionary ways. Dubu's work on Solo Leveling has redefined the genre as a whole. Because of his fantastic work, coupled with the greatly entertaining story of Solo Leveling, as well as the more recent anime adaptation, which brought in millions more fans, every fan wants to check out this manhwa.
