Snapdragon-powered PCs are moving deeper into the AI era. New models bring more AI processing directly to the device. Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon X2 platforms are designed around this shift. The new generation also focuses on battery life and everyday performance. 

AI workloads can now run alongside regular applications more efficiently. That could change how users work, create, communicate, and manage files. Here are five features shaping the next wave of Snapdragon AI PCs.

The biggest change is the growth of dedicated AI processing. Snapdragon X2 Elite processors offer up to 85 TOPS of NPU performance, with some configurations listed at 80 TOPS. 

The NPU handles AI tasks alongside the CPU and GPU. This allows supported applications to process workloads without relying entirely on cloud services. New PCs can support multimodal workloads involving text, images, video, and audio. Agentic AI applications are also becoming part of the platform. For users, this could mean faster responses and smoother AI tools.

AI PCs are moving beyond simple assistants and text generation. Snapdragon X2 platforms are designed to support agentic AI experiences. These systems can break user-directed goals into multiple steps. They can then use supported applications and tools to complete those tasks.

Qualcomm demonstrated agentic applications running natively on Snapdragon PCs. Examples include document search, content creation, web research, and workflow automation.
