Secret Marvel Game Leaks Online With First Trailer

Project Comet is a rumored mobile gacha game from Pokemon Go publisher Scopely

For months, rumors have circulated about a new Marvel-themed mobile superhero game codenamed “Project Comet.” A now-deleted X post from user MultiverSusie showed in-game animations and concept art for this apparent gacha game. This was followed by a more recent leak that seems to show a trailer for the game. The video was posted on Bilibili before being reposted on YouTube.

In the video, we see Marvel characters like Scarlet Witch, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange punching bad guys, and it's hard not to notice how closely this art style resembles Marvel Rivals. The game appears to be an action RPG with cooldowns and real-time combat, as you’d see in Genshin Impact. The video description on Bilibili mentions “collectible Marvel characters,” which seems to corroborate that this is a gacha-style game where players need to roll for new characters with in-game currency. It appears to be coming out on Android and iOS.

It should be noted that while elements of the trailer look legit, the audio is completely off, with an awkward voice-over and de-synced sound effects. The trailer also ends abruptly, suggesting it was a work in progress. Still, the overlap with previous leaks lends credence to the video being legit. According to X user Miller Ross, Project Comet was recruiting beta testers four months ago.

As for other details, the leak from MultiverSusie alleged that the following twelve characters would be in the game: Captain America, Elektra, War Machine, Invisible Woman, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Juggernaut, Doc Ock, Quicksilver, Beast, and Thor.
