Samsung’s Android 17 rollout is picking up the pace in the US

TL;DR Samsung is expanding the stable One UI 9 update to the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in the US.

The Android 17 update is reaching both carrier-locked and unlocked models, though availability still varies by carrier and device.

One UI 9 adds new Galaxy AI features, more Quick Panel customization, privacy upgrades, Samsung Health improvements, and device-specific changes for the foldables.

Samsung’s stable One UI 9 rollout has been gathering pace over the past few weeks, but owners of some of the company’s biggest 2025 flagships outside South Korea have mostly been watching from the sidelines. That is finally changing, with the Android 17 update now reaching more Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 models in the US.

This comes about a week after Samsung started updating these devices in South Korea. The US rollout initially appeared on a handful of carrier variants, but it is now expanding to both carrier-locked and unlocked models.
