Resonants are the primary bosses in Control Resonant, and when you defeat one, you'll unlock another combat ability. Not every resonant is mandatory in order to finish the game. However, having only one or two abilities can make combat feel stale, so make sure to hunt them down to improve your fighting prowess.

Here's where you can find resonants in Control Resonant, and what combat abilities they'll unlock.

Resonants are scattered all over New York City in Control Resonant. As the only capable fighter around, it's your job to hunt them down. Luckily, you'll be rewarded with combat abilities, but you can only choose one of the options to add to your arsenal.

If you're not happy with your choice, you can head to the Gap by holding G on keyboard or down on the D-pad. Head over to the mural and use a reset item to refresh all of your combat abilities. Then, you're free to make your choices all over again.

Below, we've listed the resonants we've found so far, as well as the combat abilities you can learn from them.

The Artist is the first resonant you'll find and ou cannot miss it — it's in the tutorial. After you defeat them, you can choose from three combat abilities:

The Deserter is found underground below the Patterned Factory in Central.
