Resident Evil Requiem DLC Plans Leak Online

The writer for Resident Evil Requiem has accidentally leaked information about the game's upcoming story DLC. Fans who have been eagerly awaiting Resident Evil Requiem's DLC will get to learn more about one of the series' mastermind villains.

Resident Evil Requiem is getting an expansion of its story via DLC, but a release date hasn't yet been confirmed. Some prior rumors have indicated that the DLC might not arrive until 2027 or later, with it allegedly not coming until after Resident Evil Veronica releases. Regardless of its arrival timing, new information has come to light regarding its contents.

Even Resident Evil's iconic quip-spouting, roundhouse-kicking legend, Leon S. Kennedy, can't handle every mutated threat on his own.

Resident Evil Requiem writer Haris Orkin has inadvertently revealed that founder of Umbrella Corp., Oswell E. Spencer, will be a focus in the game's upcoming story DLC. Orkin sat down for a chat with Distance NERDing Podcast at Meadowlark Comic Con, with the two discussing a number of games Orkin has worked on in his storied career. During the chat, Orkin talked about his enjoyment of writing villains, as he feels that villains see themselves as the "hero of their own story," even if they're clearly evil to everyone else. Along those lines, Orkin noted that in Resident Evil Requiem, "we have an arc for Spencer... you understand that more. And in the DLC, you'll understand even further," before admitting he shouldn't have said as much as he did.

While that was the only thing that Orkin let loose about the DLC's contents, his statement may lend credence to a prior Resident Evil Requiem DLC rumor.
