A strange post on the official Japanese Resident Evil movie account is a pretty clear reference to the movie’s ending and teases the fate of a key character.
When Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie hit theatres last week, there were two main takeaways from moviegoers. The first is that the film is fantastic and Resi fans all owe Cregger an apology for bothering him so much leading up to release. The second is that the “horrible” ending was incredibly depressing, seemingly even ruining the movie for many.
Depending on your viewpoint, the Resident Evil movie’s ending is either left pretty ambiguous or is as plain as day when it comes to what happens to Bryan. Well, we might have just got a tease of what happened after the credits rolled from an official Resident Evil account, which has already got fans theorycrafting.

As we highlighted back when we reported on how divisive the ending was, the finale of Resident Evil sees lovable failure Bryan infected with the virus and mutated into a horrible monster. As the Umbrella scientists fail to stick him with a needle and cure him, Bryan fully transforms into a rage-filled beast that’s caught in some helicopter headlights.
We don’t get to see what happens after that, but it’s pretty easy to imagine Bryan seeing the sharp end of a missile fired by a Resi protagonist.
