Resident Evil Monsters That Leon Kennedy Couldn't Beat Alone

If there is one character who represents Resident Evil more than any other, then it's Leon S. Kennedy. The man has been to hell and back and can still crack jokes along the way. However, throughout all his adventures and battles against Umbrella, he's received more than a little help.

The Resident Evil franchise has featured some daunting bosses, and the following enemies gave players a run for their money.

As brave and as sharp a shooter as Leon is, at the end of the day he is still human, which means that when faced with a monstrous threat or on the brink of death, he sometimes needs an extra boost from one of his fellow survivors. Whether it was the very first hurdle he cleared or the thousandth opponent, these monsters proved too much to handle alone, even for the mighty Leon Kennedy.

In Resident Evil 2, after running around the Raccoon City police department and diving deep underground, you eventually end up face to face with Mr. X on a cramped lift in the crumbling Umbrella lab. As hard as Leon tries to make a dent in the creature, just like the prior attempts, it shrugs off nearly everything in his arsenal, with even the beefiest shotgun shells failing to make a dent.

Fortunately, your knight in a red dress arrives from above in the form of Ada Wong, who throws down a rocket launcher at the critical moment. Up until that point, the fight is a test of endurance, but the second this weapon touches Leon's hands, he is able to end the monster with a single blow, as Ada leaves feeling satisfied that their score has been settled.
