Ratata, A 4-Player Physics-Chaos Co-op Game Where You Play as Anthropomorphic Animals, Announced

Introducing Ratata, a chaotic four-player co-op physics game where you and three friends play as a gang of animals who owe money to a mafia toad. Choose your animal – complete with its own unique strengths and weaknesses that are best suited to each mission – and then build your garage, get the thing the boss wants, pack the truck, deliver the goods, and do it all while dressed like you're in an '80s crime heist movie.

Ratata is being developed by The Kingsdom, and it's in the works for PC. It can be played solo or with up to four players total, and as you can see from the announcement trailer above and the first screenshots in the gallery below, it's got a very cartoony, fun art style. It aims to match that on the gameplay side, with physics-based chaos making every job an unpredictable mess (in the best of ways).

Choose your animal carefully, as The Kingsdom says, "every animal has its own size, strength, speed, abilities and driver's license status. One animal can be perfect for one job and a disaster for the next." Hazards include having to "sneak past guards, dodge traps and outrun crazy granny squirrels."

Ratata doesn't have a release date as of yet, but you can wishlist it on Steam if you're interested.
