PS Plus is Officially Losing 2 10/10 Open World Masterpieces in November

PlayStation Plus subscribers should brace themselves, as the service is set to lose two open world masterpieces on the same day. The Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus are full of excellent games for fans to check out, but the downside is that these games are not available forever. Whereas PS Plus subscribers can keep anything they claim through the Essential tier indefinitely as long as they stay subscribed, games in the Extra and Premium libraries rotate in and out of availability.

On the bright side, that means that there are new PS Plus Extra and Premium games added on a regular basis. In fact, some games were just added to PS Plus Extra with the latest update. As of now, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are free to check out Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, and Mycopunk with their subscriptions. Still, PS Plus will have a hard time filling the void that will be left by two of the games leaving on November 17.

October's second PS Plus wave isn't just varied but a perfectly balanced lineup of one indie, one AA, and one AAA game, giving it broad appeal.

Unless plans change, it's been confirmed that both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are leaving PS Plus on November 17. Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are two of the highest-rated games ever made, with GTA 5 number 6 and RDR2 number 10. The two massive open world games earned all kinds of perfect scores and Game of the Year awards at the time of their respective launches, and together they have added serious value to PlayStation Plus.
