Pokemon TCG Pocket is about to celebrate its second anniversary, and to mark the occasion, it is rolling out a new expansion that will add a new feature to the game: dual-type cards. That expansion, dubbed Dual Fusion, has now been revealed and, much like the first sets in Pocket's first and second years, will include enough cards to warrant more than one booster pack.
Dual Fusion booster packs will arrive in Pocket on October 29, 2026, the day before its third anniversary. Pikachu and Mewtwo are the cover stars of its booster packs, which is appropriate, as Mewtwo is one of the first two Pokemon confirmed to be among Pocket's dual-type debutants. Below you'll find first looks at Mewtwo's Dual Fusion cards along with every other card revealed so far.
The reveal trailer for Dual Fusion actually included two Mewtwo cards. Mega Mewtwo X cards, to be exact - a four-diamond version and a two-star version. Both cards are dual-types, combining Psychic and Fighting to make Mega Mewtwo an even more formidable foe than usual when its new cards arrive in Pocket next week.
The only other dual-type card confirmed to be part of the Dual Fusion expansion so far is the Mega Greninja ex card. It's the first time Mega Greninja has appeared in Pocket, and its two types will be Water and Dark.
The reveal trailer for Dual Fusion was not only unique because it revealed Pocket's first dual-type cards, but also because it didn't show any cards with a rarity under four-diamond.
