OnePlus just unveiled a monster 16R preview, and we’re suitably jealous

TL;DR OnePlus has launched the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro in China, packing 9,000mAh batteries, 185Hz gaming displays, and 200MP main cameras.

The phones could offer an early glimpse of the OnePlus 16R, although the Ace 6-to-15R transition suggests some hardware changes are possible.

With OnePlus ending official US launches, Americans hoping to upgrade to the 16R may need to import one.

OnePlus may have packed its bags and left the US , but the phones it once brought to American shores haven’t stopped getting more interesting. Its latest Chinese launch is a particularly painful reminder of what fans are missing , especially anyone hoping to replace their OnePlus R-series phone with something newer.

Meet the OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro, two gaming-focused powerhouses with 9,000mAh batteries, 185Hz displays, active cooling fans, and 200MP cameras. If the names sound unfamiliar, the hardware lineage shouldn’t. OnePlus has spent several generations turning China’s Ace phones into global R-series devices.
