One Piece Unveils The Strongest God Devil Fruit From The Void Century

One Piece's Elbaf arc is currently in its climax, awaiting the release of Chapter 1197, which is set to be published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 49 on November 1, 2026. As the Elbaf conflict heats up, Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the series, continues to unveil powerful Devil Fruit abilities.

Given that One Piece is in the last stretch of the story, it is no surprise to know that the series is now gradually delving deeper into the Void Century. The climax of the Elbaf arc, in that regard, has officially unveiled to us the strongest God Devil Fruit from the Void Century with the official arrival of Nerona Imu in the country on April 5, 2026, in Chapter 1179.

On April 5, 2026, One Piece Chapter 1179 was officially released in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 19. This chapter was incredibly important in the grand scheme of things for the Elbaf arc, as it marked the descent of Nerona Imu, the King of the World, on Elbaf. After having been teased as the main antagonist and the ruler of the entire world back in the Reverie arc, fans were eagerly waiting to see Imu's full appearance as well as powerful abilities. However, no fan was expecting Imu to show up in Elbaf as the main antagonist. That is precisely where Eiichiro Oda shocked all of us, as Imu became the primary villain for Luffy and the Straw Hats to take down.

Naturally, this also gave us a look at Imu's Devil Fruit ability, which is the Akuma no Mi.
