One Piece Officially Welcomes New Legendary Yonko Devil Fruit

Devil Fruits are the primary power system of the world of One Piece, and Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the series, has extensively used them over the last decades and expanded upon their powers tremendously.

With One Piece awaiting the release of chapter 1196 on October 18, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 47, the powers of these Devil Fruits continue to grow. More often than not, the strongest of Devil Fruits are often found within the ranks of the Yonko crew. Now, Eiichiro Oda is welcoming a new legendary Devil Fruit within the ranks of the Yonko. This Devil Fruit is the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr, which is inevitably going to be added to Luffy's powerful Yonko fleet at the end of the Elbaf arc.

The Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr, is one of the most legendary Devil Fruits to exist in the One Piece world. This Devil Fruit holds legendary status in Elbaf, and that is primarily down to the fact that it once belonged to the God of War of the country long ago, whose strength was stated to be great enough to fight evenly against Sun God Nika.

it is said that whoever eats it can transform into the largest dragon in the whole world. The size of the creature is relative to the initial size of whoever ate the fruit.
