The One Piece manga has struggled to maintain consistency over the course of the last few months, and much of that is down to the repeated breaks from the creator, Eiichiro Oda, as well as the frequent breaks from the magazine, Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump itself. Oda taking breaks doesn't come as a surprise to any fan, but the frequency has most certainly baffled quite a few in the second half of this year.
While Eiichiro Oda is used to taking breaks often, One Piece is now going on hiatuses more frequently than ever before, raising concern among the fans when it comes to Oda's health, as well as the future of the story from here on out. It has now been officially confirmed that after the release of One Piece chapter 1196, the series is going to head straight into another 2-week hiatus, set to return next in November, making 1196 the last release that we'll be getting this month, unfortunately.
Currently, One Piece fans all over the world are awaiting the release of chapter 1196, which is set to be released on October 18, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 47 at 11 AM EST. One Piece went on a hiatus after the release of chapter 1194 and returned after a two-week break with chapter 1195 . Fans were delighted to know that last week's chapter was not going to be followed by another break, and they hoped that they'd gett successive releases this time around as well..
