Dark Fantasy Game Like Devil May Cry Already Dominates Charts Before Launch

The upcoming Wuxia action RPG Phantom Blade Zero, which takes heavy inspiration from games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and the Devil May Cry series, is already one of Steam's top upcoming games just days before its global release. Phantom Blade Zero arrives digitally on Wednesday, October 28, on Steam, Epic Games Store, and PS5.

Developed and published by Beijing studio S-GAME, Phantom Blade Zero blends Wuxia storytelling with high-octane martial arts action set in a world on the brink of destruction. Players will assume the role of Soul, a wandering warrior who has only 66 days to uncover a conspiracy before his life expires. Like the critically acclaimed Devil May Cry franchise that dominated the PS2 era, Phantom Blade Zero explores a realm infested with deadly demons. Soul can use over 30 weapons and 20 unique Phantom Edges in his journey across the Phantom World.

A new Steam Client update that users can download has already beaten the vibe-coded Epic Games Launcher in one key area.

With Phantom Blade Zero already proving to be an action-packed thrill ride , the game's success can already be measured on Steam. According to Steam's Popular Upcoming Games list on the store's front page, Phantom Blade Zero has already cracked the top 10 list of titles that Valve's player base is eagerly anticipating. S-GAME's Wuxia title joins games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest . The honor came nearly a month after S-GAME stated that over three million players across all available storefronts added the game to their wish lists.
