Fortnite Override is nearing its end date, paving the way for the game's next mini-season. While One Piece has long been rumored to play a major role in the game's next big update, the arrival of a pirate chest on the island seems to confirm it. On the island, players can interact with the large treasure chest, which is building up to the season's story moment. As of October 17 at 9 AM ET, players can now find the Nice Shark Chest on the Fortnite island. This chest is permanently marked on the map and can be found in the lagoon east of Sunken Shores and south of the Mega Maze. It is pretty hard to miss, though heading here does not give you any rewards. You cannot damage the chest, and it will remain on the island until the end of Fortnite Override.

While the chest itself may appear static, there will be some changes during the final week of the season, building up to the reveal of the next mini-season.

Unfortunately, as of the time of writing, there will not be a big end-of-season event for Fortnite Override. Instead, the Nice Shark Chest will gradually glitch into the Fortnite island. The chest features six stages , according to prominent Fortnite leaker notKrae over on X .
