It’s November 5, the day The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake officially launches on Switch 2. Diehard fans had an important decision to make prior to the game’s release. Buy it digitally and start playing last night or wait for the physical copy on launch day. And if they did opt for a physical copy, should they schlep out to a brick-and-mortar store or just order it online? Amazon has some people who opted for the latter now wishing they hadn’t.
If you pre-ordered Ocarina of Time remake through Amazon or another online retailer, you’ve probably spent the last couple of days anxiously checking the shipment info to see when it will be delivered. Many retailers promise launch-day delivery on orders of big games. It might not arrive first thing, but fans can be assured a copy will be waiting for them when they’re done work or school that day.
But last night lots of people who ordered from Amazon were greeted by a delay notification showing their copy wouldn’t be arriving on November 5 after all. Some wouldn’t even be arriving until next week.
“ro WHAT?! I pre ordered Zelda day 1… Thanks a lot AMAZON,” one frustrated fan whose order had been delayed to November 11 posted on X . “I’m gonna throw up,” wrote one whose order wouldn’t arrive until November 12. “ The whole point of preordering Zelda from Amazon was so I can have it launch day,” wrote retro gaming YouTuber 8-bit-Eric. “Every time I try to give Amazon a chance my preorder gets delayed.
