New World of Warcraft Bug Can Consume All Your Gold

A newly discovered World of Warcraft bug can quickly make players go broke by spending tens of thousands of gold for no benefit. Blizzard is exploring new ways to make its longstanding MMO appealing to more players, and World of Warcraft: Forever is a good example of this logic because it combines nostalgia with new items and areas. This doesn't mean that the Classic or retail versions of World of Warcraft are going to stop getting content, and in fact, the latter is getting a new major patch this week.

World of Warcraft's Sylvanas is officially making a comeback in November with a new design.

As reported on Reddit by user ItsWednesdayMyCubes, there is currently a major World of Warcraft bug that increases repair costs dramatically, up to tens of thousands of gold. In this case, ItsWednesdayMyCubes reported a repair cost of almost 156,000 gold after wiping in World of Warcraft 's Venomous Abyss against heroic Ula'tek. According to the user, this is mainly one specific item's fault, with a 6/6 Chestguard of Corroded Scale seemingly causing the issue. All the other items and equipped gear require sensible costs for repair. However, ItsWednesdayMyCubes reports accidentally clicking on Repair All Items once, which cost them around 30,000 gold. They also state that the bug resets when they reload their UI, but appears again after dying. Various users have confirmed having similar issues, though not with the same eye-watering amounts of gold. Others have warned fellow players not to use add-ons for auto-repairs.
