Solo Leveling has been one of the biggest stories exported from South Korea and made popular all over the world. While the novel and manhwa were already among the most popular in the country, the TV anime adaptation by Aniplex and A1 Pictures has made the series a global phenomenon. With the explosion of its popularity, new projects beyond just the anime have been popping up left, right, and center.
One of the most anticipated new big projects for Solo Leveling is its new TV series live-action adaptation, simply referred to at the moment as the Solo Leveling Live Action. Updates concerning the Solo Leveling Live Action Season 1 had been few until recently, but finally, we have a new update confirming actors who are set to be featured in the roles of some important characters. Byeon Wooseok was previously confirmed for the role of Sung Jinwoo, and we now have new official reveals, which include Han Sohee as Cha Hae-in and Lee Sungmin as Go Gunhee. The live-action could quickly catch up to the anime and possibly adapt events up to Jeju Island.
Solo Leveling reached global fame in 2024 when its first anime season, by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures, saw the light of day. Since then, it's been over two years, and Solo Leveling's success has only been growing with each passing day. 2026 was largely quiet for the franchise, but a brand-new project was officially announced on July 8, 2025, in the form of a live-action series.
