New Invincible Release Officially Confirmed for Winter 2026

The Invincible franchise has continued expanding beyond its original comic book roots, with the animated series introducing its brutal superhero world to a much wider audience through the animated series (Invincible season 5 is expected in early 2027). Its mix of graphic violence, complicated heroes, and familiar comic book archetypes has also created plenty of opportunities for new stories outside the main series, as the animated series set the baseline for the franchise to expand.

And the animated series has set a high bar for that expansion. Invincible Season 4 has an 88% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on more than 500 ratings. Critics largely praise the season for combining brutal superhero action with emotionally complex storytelling, while some point to pacing and animation as continuing weaknesses.

A reputable leaker reveals every DLC character supposedly coming to Invincible VS, the recently released fighting game based on the popular IP.

Now, in another avenue for the franchise, a new Invincible VS release has been confirmed for Winter 2026, with Agent Spider officially revealed as Invincible VS 's next DLC release . The character will join the roster as part of Season 3 and the Year 1 Character Pass, with a new reveal trailer offering a first look at his appearance in the fighting game. Josh Keaton, who voiced Agent Spider in the animated Invincible series , is also returning to play the character. His casting gives the announcement an additional connection to the show, while the Winter 2026 window establishes when players can expect the new content.
