EA is shutting down BioWare and canceling the new Mass Effect game that was announced six years ago. There was no mention of the Mass Effect TV show currently in production at Amazon though, neither by EA nor in BioWare's parting message. Fans assumed that would be canceled too, but apparently not, at least not yet.
In the aftermath of the announcement that BioWare is no more, IGN has been able to confirm that the Mass Effect show lives on. Sources at Prime Video have confirmed that, as of right now, not only is the Mass Effect TV show still moving forward, but everyone who was previously attached to the project and actively working on it is still a part of the adaptation's team.
