2024 Open-World Space Sim Game Is Free to Keep Until October 27

A space-themed city-builder called Terraspace is free to keep for PC users until October 27. Terraspace entered early access on the Epic Games Store in 2024 before later arriving on Steam as well. To be clear, Terraspace hasn't received many positive reviews from PC users, but at $0.00, it could be worth checking out for fans of the genre.

Developer Black Apple describes Terraspace as "an exciting journey through the galaxy and building a spaceship that will help you move to another planet." Every time players successfully conquer a planet and build the coveted rocket, they move to another map with seemingly randomized resources. And this is where Terraspace both shines and gets criticized.

An arcade game with highly positive user reviews decides to drop its $24.99 price tag and become free to play on Steam for good.

Typically priced at $6.99 USD, Terraspace is currently discounted by 100% on the Epic Games Store, allowing PC users to claim it for free until October 27 at around 04:30 PM EDT. As a cozy space simulation game, Terraspace lets players build their own colonies on different planets and use astronauts to automate mundane tasks. Terraspace is also a resource management game, as surviving in harsh intergalactic environments requires players to collect the right amounts of essential supplies like water and fuel.

One of the biggest criticisms the game has received is tied to its resource management mechanics. Some players have pointed out that randomized planet seeds and resource spawns are not balanced, leaving some maps so barren that survival becomes impossible.
